In light of the current situation, the Children's University (CU) have asked that schools collate Learning Hours in advance of the anticipated graduation. At the moment the Children's University are continuing with their plans for the graduation ceremony, however, will of course follow government guidelines and protocols as they are issued and updated. As the graduation is scheduled for June 2020, they have asked for our patience, as at present it's still too early to predict what the situation may be in June 2020. The Children's University will keep school updated as they know more.
Any CU member who has an online account can update their hours online without having to bring their passport in to school. Guidance on how to do this can be found here.
Any CU member who does not have an online account can update their hours by bringing their passport into school for learning hours to be documented once school re-opens.
The Children's University social media pages and website will have further updates and guidance for using the online system.
The deadline for Learning Hours to reach the Children's University in time for graduation will still be Friday 24th April 2020.
If collecting in Passports & Learning Hours is something you may not be able to do, or would like more advice, please advise the school office by e-mail (email@example.com)
The Children's University Trust is in the process of putting together activity ideas which can be conducted at home and these will be eligible for Learning Hours. Further information will be shared as this becomes available.
In addition, the CU have sent their April 2020 Challenge earlier than anticipated, to be shared with CU members (any non-members can also use the challenge ideas but won't be eligible for Learning Hours). The challenge evidence can be sent directly to their email - firstname.lastname@example.org and stamp codes will be issued after the Easter holidays.
