A very warm welcome to the Lee Brigg Infant & Nursery School website - its purpose is to give you a feeling for our school if you don't already know us, and to share important information if you do.

Lee Brigg Infant & Nursery School is a very special place where children and adults learn together, have fun, work hard and strive to achieve their very best. We know that for children to learn well they must first feel safe, confident and happy and so place the wellbeing of our children at the very heart of our work. We know that children learn well when home and school work together and so welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with parents and carers.

My vision is simple -  I believe that each and every child that enters our school can expect and will have an outstanding education which will enable them to shine as individuals and achieve their learning potential. I am proud and privileged to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school.

The children, staff, governors and existing parents offer you a very warm welcome to our school.

This Girl Can

Some of you may have seen the ‘This Girl Can’ adverts on the TV, which is a Sport England campaign to encourage more woman and girls into sport and physical activity.  As part of this campaign Wakefield Local Authority has arranged for a wide range of providers in the Wakefield District to open their doors for free for a fortnight (starting on Monday 25th January 2016) so that woman and girls can try out a sport and/or physical activity, and hopefully find something new they wish to continue with.

The sessions cover a multitude of sports and activities many of them woman only.  Download the 'This Girl Can' leaflet for details of all the sessions on offer and location details.
